The Final Revelation of Sherlock Holmes
The Pleasance main house, London. Feb 2014.
Directed: Danny Wainwright
Produced by: Let Them Call it Mischief.
Written by: Tim Norton
An homage to Sherlock Holmes legend set in 1930.
Flown in panels created a slightly whimsical, disjointed, yet typical view of the outside of Holmes' Baker street flat, revolving the stage to travel into the inside the flat.
We wanted to stay true to the period of the play, yet have licence to not be rooted too much in realism.
Large, watercolour like flats gave suggestion of architectural detail, mixing with the 'real', creating areas of highly detailed props and furniture, as well as pockets of more abstract atmospherics.
