The main set structure, bursting with faded objects, offered props, surfaces, hidden doors, pop out effects and a projection screen. LED lights lit up a talking face on the door, and wheels on the set units afforded sweeping movements and changes of dynamics on stage.
The costumes were designed to enhance the actors' movements. Emma’s movements were very round, swaying back and forth as she walked. Her skirt's weighted hoop at the hem added extra sway to her walk, and her jacket is as higgle-de-piggaldy as her character.
Laurence’s slim line costume emphasised his tall, slender frame, and exaggerated his long limbed movements.
